This privacy policy explains how WebSoft SEO Checker collects, uses, and stores data when a merchant installs and uses the app.

What data the app accesses

WebSoft SEO Checker accesses Shopify product data required to scan product SEO fields. This includes product titles, handles, descriptions, and search engine listing fields such as SEO title and meta description.

How the data is used

The app uses this data only to analyze product SEO field lengths, show products that may need attention, and help merchants navigate to the relevant product editing flow in Shopify Admin.

Customer data

The app does not request customer scopes and is not designed to process customer data as part of its core SEO scan feature.

Storage and retention

The app stores Shopify session data required for authentication and app operation. Product scan results are generated on demand from the Shopify Admin API and are not persisted as a separate merchant data store.

Data deletion and privacy requests

WebSoft SEO Checker implements Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks for app uninstalls and privacy-related requests. When the app is uninstalled or Shopify sends an applicable redaction request, related app session data is removed in accordance with the app’s current data model.

Third parties

The app is hosted by the developer and communicates with Shopify APIs to provide its functionality. The app doesn’t sell merchant data or use merchant product data for advertising purposes.
